Chin Fillers in Scottsdale, Arizona

Whether you want to improve your facial symmetry, strengthen your chin, or contour your jawline, an injectable chin filler can give you the look and face shape you’ve always wanted. From benefits and side effects to preparation and recovery, we have all the information you need to feel comfortable and confident about getting chin fillers in Scottdale, Arizona.

WHAT ARE CHIN FILLERS?

Chin fillers are injectables designed to give men and women a stronger, more defined chin shape by adding volume and tightening the surrounding skin. The process includes injecting temporary dermal fillers into the soft tissues of the chin to add more definition. Often paired with jawline fillers, chin fillers are becoming an increasingly popular non-surgical solution for facial contouring.

Chin Filler Benefits

As one of the most prominent features of your face, your chin establishes the foundational balance of your facial proportions. Because of that, there are several aesthetic benefits to getting chin fillers:

  • Enhances your facial balance
  • More affordable than surgical treatments
  • Strengthens and defines your chin shape
  • Treat signs of aging by smoothing your surrounding skin

Chin Filler Side Effects

Though chin fillers are safe and generally well-tolerated by most clients, as with any cosmetic procedure, there are some potential side effects. These are the most common:

  • Bruising
  • Swelling
  • Redness
  • Tenderness
  • Pain
  • Numbness

Most side effects disappear within a few days or occasionally up to 1-2 weeks.

Types of Dermal Fillers For Chin Contouring

We offer two main types of FDA-approved dermal fillers used for chin contouring: Juvederm and Restylane. Each type offers its own benefits and drawbacks. Here’s a quick breakdown:

Juvederm: This is a thick, hyaluronic acid-based filler. Its smooth texture makes it the best option for smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. Juvederm is FDA-approved.

Restylane: As another hyaluronic acid-based filler, Restylane is more cohesive and stays in place better, making it the ideal choice for adding volume and shape. Restylane is FDA-approved.

Depending on your chin-shaping goals, one type of filler (or a combination of both) may be the best option for you.

Chin Filler Before & After

Post-Care Treatment for chin fillers

If you’ve just had chin fillers injected, here are a few post-treatment instructions to keep in mind:

  • Drink plenty of water!
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that may cause excessive sweating for the first 24 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 2-3 nights.
  • Avoid applying makeup on your face and lips for at least 24 hours.
  • Stay out of saunas and hot tubs for the first week after treatment.

If you experience any side effects, such as bruising, swelling, or redness, don’t hesitate to contact your doctor.

FACIAL CONTOURING: THE COMPLETE TREATMENT

Chin fillers are often combined with several other treatments for full facial contouring. Those other treatments often include jawline fillers, cheekbone enhancements, and Botox/Dysport treatments.

In the days prior to your chin filler injection, we recommend avoiding the following:

  • Topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A),

While it is rare for chin filler to move, it is possible. It is recommended to not touch or rub the treated area after the filler has set.

Both men and women can expect chin fillers to last 15-24 months, on average. At that point, clients often undergo the procedure again to maintain the look.

For most clients, it typically takes 1-3 syringes, on average, to achieve ideal results. However, the number of syringes may vary from client to client.

There is little to no downtime required for chin filler. While some clients may experience bruising, redness, and swelling, those side effects will subside within days or up to two weeks.

Though you will notice an immediate difference, optimal results will show 1-2 weeks after the treatment. By this time, any bruising or redness will have dissipated and the filler will have set.
